Cape Cod Maritime Days

Take a shot at the Cape Cod Maritime Days Photo Contest
The 15th Annual Maritime Days is a celebration of the Cape’s rich maritime history.

Be eligible to win fabulous prizes that celebrate Cape Cod’s maritime days, including high speed ferry passes from Hyannis to Nantucket aboard the Steamship Authority, four passes to Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich, a $25.00 gift certificate to the Roadhouse Café, a local favorite in Hyannis and more!

Submit photos that capture the true essence of Maritime Days - lighthouses, ships, museums or activities happening at one of the events.

To Submit Photos:

  1. Go to MyCape.com and click on the town of your choice
  2. Click on ‘submit photo’ (found toward the center of the page)
  3. Fill in the fields on the form – don’t forget the image validation
  4. Be sure to refer to “Maritime Days” in the title or description of the photo
  5. Then click on submit. The photo will appear within 24-48 hours on MyCape.com.

All entries must be received by June 8, 2008. The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and Cape Cod Media Group/MyCape.com retain all publication rights for photographs submitted for the contest.

How to UL to MyCape.com

MyCape.com is locals talking local

Each of the 16 towns on the Cape encompasses its own forums on newsworthy items and events. MyCape is a vehicle for submitting and sharing photos, articles, commentary and stories generated entirely by local residents and visitors. Promotions and contests are ongoing and blogs can be added to the site in your town that would vastly increase awareness of you and your work. (Advertising opportunities are also available.)

MyCape.com is a great venue to gain exposure of your event of photograph while broadening the end user’s overall experience. If you are involved in a fundraiser or another promotion that is helping others in the community, this is a great resource to get the word out. To upload an article or photo to MyCape.com:

  1. Go to www.mycape.com
  2. Select the appropriate town on the map of Cape Cod
  3. Click on "Submit an Article" or "Submit a Photo"
  4. Complete the form, including the image validation and click the "Submit Your Article/Photo" button

Patty Pry

Pat oversees the administration of MyCape and regularly introduces the site to the residents and visitors of the Upper and Mid-Cape communities.

Pat has been ‘networking’ on the Cape for almost 25 years. For 10 years, she handled all aspects of marketing and advertising for New Seabury Resort and Real Estate and was the first Executive Director for the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. She resides in Mashpee and loves to go day-tripping with her family all over the Cape – a perfect complement to her position as the MyCape Coordinator.






Marcia Duggan

Marcia introduces MyCape throughout the communities of the Lower and Mid-Cape regions.

An award-winning photographer, Marcia teaches photography through CapeCodSoul and is an avid runner (two-time Boston Marathon finisher). She also stays active fishing, traveling and skiing with her family. Marcia resides in Orleans with her two teenage children. Her favorite summer hot spots are Rock Harbor and the Nauset Outer Beach.
